IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of National College is committed to promoting quality enhancement and sustaining academic excellence in all spheres of institutional functioning. Established in accordance with the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the IQAC serves as a proactive system for planning, guiding and monitoring quality assurance and quality enhancement activities of the College.

Founded in 1919, National College has a rich legacy of imparting value-based education with the motto “Saa Vidyaa Yaa Vimukthayea” – “That alone is knowledge which liberates.” The IQAC upholds this vision by fostering a learner-centric environment that encourages academic innovation, research, ethical practices, social responsibility and holistic student development.

The IQAC actively facilitates quality initiatives such as curriculum enrichment, outcome-based education, faculty development programmes, academic and administrative audits, research promotion, student feedback mechanisms, extension activities and best practices. The Cell also coordinates the preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR), NAAC accreditation processes and institutional documentation.

With the support of dedicated faculty, modern infrastructure, advanced research facilities including the National College Instrumentation Facility (NCIF) and a strong commitment to inclusive and transformative education, the IQAC continuously strives to strengthen the institution’s standards in teaching, learning, research, and community engagement.
